Angelika has been brought up in the island of Corfu.Nature and wild life were her everyday enviroment amongst observing traditional craftsmen of all kinds that thrived in the tiny village she was beeing brought up and having the great opportunity to take art classes from important artists since a very young age.Without realising on the moment she was exposed since very young to all of what we call traditonal craftmanship and she had a full knowledge of what someone could make with basic craft materials.The struggles the time it takes and the joy it brings a finished piece.Through out her Interior design studies and work experience she never stopped creating things with her hands for friends and family with different combination of materials everytime. A few years later she decided that she wanted to be more harmonised with her true inner self.She spent a few years in u.k. where apart from completing her master studies in ceramics she also had the chance to meet other craftsmen and to spend time to other workshops where she gained a different insight of what truly passionates her.She returned to her home town in her tiny little village and set her first ceramic studio, where she still maintens it as her summer studio. feels like her nest where she gives private classes and shares all her knowledge about the slow made joy of things amongst great meals with friends.Exactly what she tries to express through her work.The last 8 years is based in Barcelona.A city that offer so much to her mediteranean culture inspiration.A culture that shares so many similar values with what she aims to comunicate through her work.The joy of everyday rituals.
